Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on Aba TV and Kocaeli TV dated December 11th, 2010
ADNAN OKTAR:"As-salamun Alaykom Master, I am Mohammed Fatih Ethem. " Alaykom as-salam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu. "Master, I have been watching your program for a long time. I am doing everything I do solely for the good pleasure of Allah and I take an indescribable, unbelievable pleasure in doing things solely for the good pleasure of Allah. I mean I am doing things neither to be seen as good to someone, nor to be thanked and I am doing my work as best as I possibly can, I do not avoid anything. I believe that because I do so, whenever I am in a difficult situation or whenever I lose something and ask Allah for His Help, either instantly or in a very short period of time, I reach the result that would please me the most. But sometimes this situation scares me. I have heard a hadith which, I believe, reads "Allah responds to the prayers of the unbelievers" What would you say about this Master? This situation really scares me Master."
No; such comments are only valid in the Cubbeli style frame of mind. To say that "also the unbelievers ask for something from Allah", would not be reasonable. That is because, the unbelievers are just like their name. It is apparent that a person who does not believe in Allah would not have a prayer. He doesn't believe so why would he pray?. It is apparent right from the start that it was a made-up explanation. But when the unbeliever wants something, he works like a horse and Allah gives that to him and that becomes a trouble for him. That is the way it happens. I mean if he is crooked by nature, if he is a cruel person, if he attempts to do harm, if he attempts to set a trap Allah would turn it on to him. I mean Allah would make the trap easier for him but Allah would turn it on to him. Consequently to think that way is unnecessary for our brother. A Muslim prays and sometimes Almighty Allah accepts that prayer in a long time and sometimes He would not accept at all. That is because there might be a good in Him not accepting. And sometimes Allah instantly accepts his prayers. There is good in every single one; he is to submit to Allah completely. I mean his way of thinking should be like this, he is to say; " My Lord, whatever You do, You do so for good, I see a goodness in all Your Treatments, in everything You do." That is what worshiping means. Or else when we are in difficulty there is no such thing as Allah would definitely help us. When we are in difficulty, the point that we face difficulty in would be for our benefit; that would be to our advantage. For instance we will travel by bus and we cannot catch the bus and thus we are left in a difficult situation. A person prays for instance; "My Lord, let me not miss the bus, please let me catch the bus no matter what." But Allah doesn't grant him that. That means he should not go by that bus. There is a goodness in that. As a matter of fact many people sees that goodness afterwards; he says for instance; "had I gone by that bus, Allah would have sent me in such and such a trouble with it, so Allah saved me from such and such a trouble by not letting me in that bus." If he looks with goodness, the result would constantly be good and beautiful. Any other way wouldn't do insha'Allah.
