ADNAN OKTAR: My brother, as the reason why we keep the system of the Mahdi constantly on the agenda, some people assumethat there is a certain person that I am obsessed about and if that person becomes the Mahdi, my job would be done and that I would be relieved. That is not the case. Mahdi (pbuh) is a person who will save the whole world, who will be instrumental in the salvation of the whole world.  And the Prophet Jesus Messiah (pbuh). Then, what is the point here; what is the main goal here? It is the approval, mercy and the Heaven of Allah.  But above them all the approval of Allah is our main goal. Then what kind of a feeling is it to want the salvation of the whole humanity? That is a feeling every single person should have. What is striving for people not to go to Hell and to find the goodness and wisdom? It is a religious obligation. What is "desiring the unity of Islam"? It is the greatest religious obligation. Then, am I not in a position to strive night and day to fulfill the greatest religious obligation? How do I pay heed to perform my salat (prayers)?  So I pay heed to the greatest religious duty, as the greatest religious duty requires being paid heed to.  What is there to be surprised about that? But everyone knows that without the system of the Mahdi the unity of Islam is impossible. For instance look, the man asks and the reply is that it would be the end of Islam. That is correct, without the Mahdi (pbuh) nothing will come from the Unity of Islam. Everything would be the same; there would trade, the tourists would come, the Arab tourists and tourists from here would go to Iraq and people would eat, drink and sit back. Okay, there would be some kind of development in Islam as well but it would not be something extraordinary as one would assume. It wouldn't be a step into a new age, a great incident, a great excitement, it wouldn't be a spiritual revolution. For a spiritual revolution to be attained, there is an absolute need for Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). For a step into a new age in terms of arts and science, there is an absolute need for Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). I mean he holds the keys to that. For that reason we.. since our Prophet (saas) had told us to give the glad tidings of it,  what would I do?  Our Prophet (saas) tells us to give that glad tidings and I say :" no I won't"?  Am I to say "I am not following our Prophet (saas) but Ismail Mutlu"? Is that so? That is not going to happen. Or am I to say "I am following Osman Unlu"? That is not going to happen. Look, you do see the followers of Bediuzzaman; they are screaming the truths at the top of their lungs. That is an answer to everyone. That precious "rose" our Master Mahmut had raised up, Master Mehmet Talu, notice that a light, a beauty comes upon his eyes as he talks about Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) and he says that he will personally see him insha'Allah.  My brother, we look at these people - that's okay let us say that you do have an anger towards the Mahdi (pbuh)  and towards the Prophet Jesus Messiah (pbuh), but are you in a position to want the Unity of Islam? Look, you cannot even ask for it because you are sick. You are severely sick, you are in a coma. You do not even mention the Unity of Islam. What is more? You focus on how you can indulge the sunnah while eating rice, how many meters should turban be.  Almighty Allah would take on that turban cloth and wrap it around you and then people would wrap it around your chin and feet as well and put you beneath the soil and stay in the Hell for all eternity, may Allah forbid. You have to pull yourself together and be aware of what you are doing. Right?
