Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on Kackar TV, dated February 4th, 2011
ADNAN OKTAR:The Surat An-Nisa had come up. I have opened up the pages of the Qur'an randomly. I have opened any one of the verses of the Qur'an. Verse 66, I seek refuge with Allah from the satan, Almighty Allah says; "If We had directed them to kill themselves" I mean to kill themselves just like that; " or leave their homes," that is leave your business and works and leave your home go somewhere else; "they would not have done so, except for a very few." That exceptional very few people; this is the character of the followers of the Mahdi (pbuh). "..they would not have done so, except for a very few." Allah does not grant people beauties because people have such a character. Look; Allah explains what the problem is, I mean He explains why there is such a situation. "If We had directed them to kill themselves or leave their homes," that is 'if we have told them to do something that would conflict with their own interests'; "they would not have done so, except for a very few." Well, look now that means 'We are not telling them to kill themselves or leave their homes,' Allah doesn't tell us such a thing, right? 'But what does Allah say?' if we were asked. Let us say performing prayers (salat). He would say 'I will' That is okay.. Fasting? 'I would do that as well, it helps me, it makes me lose weight, fasting helps me and makes me relaxed' that is because he doesn't spare time to eat, he finds fasting to be practical. Performing prayers? He likes performing prayers, so he does that because that doesn't deprive him off something. He washes his hands and face and he prostrates to the floor several times. I am just saying this as an example of course he would prostrate plenty of times. He says; 'that is an exercise for me, it is good for me, there is nothing hard about that, I would do that'. Giving alms? When he gives a little bit of his money he feels psychologically relieved and he says; 'I will do that as well'. Remembrance of Allah? 'I can invoke Allah until I feel sleepy. I can say Allah, Allah, Allah. And when I feel sleepy I go to bed'. He falls asleep while doing so anyway. That is also what Cubbeli says. He says; 'It helps you drowse off'. But look, "If We had directed them to kill themselves or leave their homes" what does this mean? That is a characteristic of the system of the Mahdi. What does 'kill yourself' mean? It also means 'give your youth, give all your life, withdraw from all social aspects of life, submit yourself in the perfect meaning of the word'. 'Leave your homes'; it means when they are told to; 'leave their mothers and fathers behind, leave their families, leave their businesses and their professions if necessary and strive in the path of Allah,' Allah says that only very few of them would accept to do so. Only very few of them; this is the followers of the Mahdi which will always be 313 people. They are always a minority in the world; those people, who are heart and soul devoted to Allah with love to death, are always very few in number. "they would not have done so, except for a very few. But if they had done what they were urged to do, it would have been better for them and far more strengthening." That is, Allah says that He would have given them world dominion. Look; "..it would have been better for them and far more strengthening." What would be the case otherwise? It would not be good for them and it would not be strengthening, just like the current system. It collapses all over. An enormous corruption occurs. The states go corrupt, the nations get corrupted, systems get corrupted, pains and sufferings rise up to the skies. "In that case We would have given them an immense reward from Us" says Allah. Allah gives the good news of the Paradise, what is more Allah gives the good news of plenitude, abundance, dominion and beauty in this world. "And We would have guided them on a straight path." That means Allah says that they would have gone on a straight path, they wouldn't come across to any kind of obstacles and would have a perfect and beautiful life. "Whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger will be with those whom Allah has blessed: the Prophets and the siddiqun (loyals), the martyrs and the salihun (sincere ones). What excellent company such people are!" Obeying the Messenger. What does the Messenger (saas) tell us? He tells us to abide by the Mahdi (pbuh). He tells us to abide by the Mahdi wherever we see him, he says; 'go and abide by the Mahdi even if you have to go and grovel in snow and be heralded with the coming of the Mahdi.' If we would ask: 'does our Prophet (saas) say that?' he would reply; 'yes, he does.' When we ask; 'Are you doing this?' , he says ; 'no I am not'. He says 'I do not feel the need to do so'. Well, then you would be in the scope of this verse.
