ADNAN OKTAR: "Good evening, I have a question. There are many atheist people around me this year and they ask me different questions all the time. I can answer most of the questions they ask -thanks be to Allah- but they asked me one question that I could not answer. The question is: When Allah creates man, He does no wrong but there are some diseases; genetic diseases. How do these occur, if Allah does no wrong? Insha'Allah, can you help? Bilal."

If there are no diseases, no genetic diseases; if there is no death, if there are no injuries;   Bilal should tell me how he can be tested. There will be headache, backache, blindness, broken arms. There will be struggle; oppressor will be able to oppress and the aggrieved will resist his oppression. Otherwise, trial is not possible; it is impossible. Had there been no test, the world would not have any meaning. I mean, it would have a meaning but very little. Everything would be plain.

For example, courage is the name for resistance against pain. Loyalty is again acquired by resistance to pain. Loyalty is not something easy. That is because, while being loyal the person faces many difficulties. Loyalty has many material and spiritual provisions. For instance, patience is very challenging; sometimes one suffers pain while being patient. For instance generosity; the person gives to others while he, himself, is in need. This is not easy. He suffers himself but he gives to another. Or he becomes a veteran to earn the good pleasure of Allah, for example he loses his arm. Having no arm due to a genetic disorder or losing an arm in a war; both are necessities of the test. 

If it were just as they said, if everything were perfect, this would be Paradise. This is Earth. Allah says in the verse "Man is created as weak." What does "created as weak" mean? He is created with diseases. What is the pain Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) is going to suffer during his struggle then? What are the difficulties he will face? The reason for this is the test. Beauties are attained as the result of the test. For example, look, I love you all and I do so by making a comparison. For example, you are well-mannered, well-behaved, I compare you to other people, some other people whom I saw; and thus I love you. I say "These girls are decent and well-behaved." So that means, there is also the need for bad, jackal girls. There is the need for aggressive and ill-natured people. When I compare them to you, I feel love for you and thus a foundation, a meaning comes about in this love.  Otherwise, you would have no meaning. We would not be able to find any logic in that. I mean love forms with these reasons. For example, while speaking, I pay attention to use the best words. This requires attention and attention is not something easy. But of course this is something that can be broadened even further and can be enriched with examples that can be explained on a very wide base.
