Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on TV Kayseri and Samsun AKS Tv dated January 5th, 2011
ADNAN OKTAR:Therefore, no one should give credit to movements that try to divide and destroy Muslims. They think that they are talking effectively in their own opinion. This is a game. It is religiously forbidden for Muslims to be divided. When you look at the whole of the Qur'an, Allah always refers to the unification and unity of Muslims. In the Qur'an, Allah says "O believers!" He does not talk about divided Muslims. He addresses to a single community, one single community. "O you believers" "o you male and female believers".. In the Qur'an you cannot find any verse that addresses to a community that is divided. The Qur'an always addresses to the community as if it is community consisting of 100 people. For example, Allah says "It is not necessary for all of you to go out to struggle all at once. Not everyone should go out. Those who stay behind can hold an intellectual struggle." For example some struggle in the manner of "war." Waging a war is something different. The opposite side starts a war; they start slaughtering, killing Muslims. If you say "now come here, I will tell you about religion"; the man is already slaughtering you. He is in no condition to understand. In that condition war becomes a religious obligation; it requires a counter-attack. But it requires a balanced counter-attack; enough to stop them in terms of self-defense. That is because the man is killing you. And you are making him ineffective. But when doing so, look, Allah says "Not all of them should go out all at once. Some should stay and increase their knowledge and intellect. They should do intellectual struggle." But look the whole society is in a struggle. There is no one who does not struggle. Some are engaged in war and the others are in an intellectual struggle. They are increasing their knowledge and preach the religion. We see in the Qur'an that it is an obligation for the whole society to be striving. For example Almighty Allah says in the Qur'an; I seek refuge with Allah from the satan. "He said, 'By no means! Go, both of you, with Our Signs. We will certainly be together with you, listening. Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the Messenger of the Lord of all the worlds to tell you to send the tribe of Israel away with us'." People of Israel are the Muslims of that period; a single community. There is not a second part. There are Abyssinians and Indians among the People of Israel; there are these and those but Allah accepts all of them as the People of Israel, as Muslims. People of Israel is the name given to the Muslims [of that time]. That is all. Therefore those who read the Qur'an will see this. Allah considers unbelievers as a single community as well. The Qur'an does not consider them being divided into different parts as important. Unbelievers are a single community. Allah also accepts Muslims as a single community. And when there is a single community, there is one leader. Right?
ALTUĞ BERKER: Insha'Allah. I am reading the related verse Master. Surat at-Tawba, 122. "It is not necessary for the believers to go out all together. If a party from each group of them were to go out so they could increase their knowledge of the religion they would be able to notify their people when they returned to them so that hopefully they would take warning!"
ADNAN OKTAR:That is gathering information and doing research for the struggle. For instance, what do we do? We are examining Darwinism and materialism. We are preparing books and articles. This is a struggle, this is preaching the religion. But the soldiers are in the East engaged in a combat; that is a struggle as well. They are in self-defense. And we are engaged in intellectual struggle here, a religious struggle. Both are striving [in the path of Allah] insha'Allah.
ALTUĞ BERKER:Master, I am also reading Surat at-Tawba, verse 36: "However, fight the idolaters totally just as they fight you totally.. "
ADNAN OKTAR:Look, Allah considers all of them as one whole. He does not talk about Iranians when He says "you." He does not mean the Turks nor the Pakistanis. Allah accepts one single community; Islam community. And Allah says "you are to act together." Every statement is directed to Muslims as a whole. There is only One Who explains; Allah is the One Who explains it. So the person who is the leader there, that person needs to explain the ruling of Allah. Muslims need to take orders from a single channel throughout the world. There should be one, single channel that will teach them beauty, love, affection and compassion. For example when our Prophet (saas) came, which nation was he the leader of? All of them. Pakistanis were also subject to him. Indians were also subject to him. Kurds, Turks, Laz, Caucasians were all subject to him. There was nothing else. Right? When our Prophet (saas) addressed, he was addressing the whole Islam community and there was a single imam. Then Hazrat Abu Bakir (ra), one, single imam was addressing all of them. Hazrat Omar (ra), single one, Hazrat Ali (ra), single one. Our upstart wannabe polished intellectuals have broken the Islamic community into pieces; and then look they are being crushed like this. And they live in fear. The whole Islam world lives in fear. They live with the fear of being conquered, being slandered, being beaten down and humiliated and the fear of being occupied. However, if the Unity of Islam were established; everyone would get on just fine. They would all be very comfortable. The occupation of where? The man could not even imagine. Insha'Allah.
One should not let any malice done from the inside; meaning being divided from the inside. Look if they cannot succeed, they attempt to divide by race; if not, dividing by sects; if not, dividing by neighborhoods or even football teams are enough for a man to feel grudge. They kill one another due to football team differentiation. Satan encourages division so intensely that people get into divergence over neighborhoods. For example two neighborhoods fight one another. However we all are the servants of Allah. We are servants Allah created for the trial, insha'Allah. We will go through that trial fraternally and reasonably; and as Allah deems us worthy of infinite life, we will continue with our lives as brothers, insha'Allah.
