Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on Gaziantep Olay TV dated February 22nd, 2011
ALTUG BERKER: In his article, Ali Bulac wrote that the skimpy clothes women wear is not the justification of rape but is the reason for it. He had stated that man was designed as an organism and is receiving stimulations from the outside world and he said ; "consequently women should be careful about the things they wear". Upon this author Nuray Mert, criticizing Ali Bulac's definition of man as an organism, said "Man is an honorable being and is held responsible for his acts. If a man cannot qualify for being honorable, could become a creature inferior to an animal. But he would not become an animal but a persecuting human" And she continued her words as follows; "the thing that differentiate religious people from the others is that they believe that man is not a creature that can be explained through nature. Even though I have been brought up in an environment in which I have not received any religious suggestions, I have chosen to be a devout Muslim because I believe that man is not only an organism and because I started to look at the matter from a different point of view. And I consider myself to be very lucky in that respect."
ADNAN OKTAR: She meant privileged.
ALTUG BERKER:Insha'Allah.
ADNAN OKTAR:Yes.. Giving in to external stimulations.. Man is not such a primitive being. He uses his will power and does not look if he doesn't want to. Even if he does, he wouldn't have such intentions; he is not obliged to it. Cubbeli was saying such things as well; he was talking about taking a fancy to water drums. He was also mentioning the Barbie dolls, he was even talking about being effected from them. That is about being obsessed. Why would a reasonable person adopt such a point of view anyway? He has his will-power, he has his mind, his determination; so he would act upon them.
