ADNAN OKTAR:People are modest beings. However, when left alone he wants to lead a plain life. He wants to eat and sleep. Many people know the existence of Allah but avoid being an enthusiastic servant of Allah.

Turkey is a metaphysical region; it is a metaphysical piece of land and especially Istanbul is a very metaphysical point. That is why it was made the capital of the Islamic world at the time and the capital of the Christian world as well. Istanbul has always been at the center and the incidents have always happened here. All important incidents have occurred here. It is known that even the Prophet Moses (pbuh) came here. It is known that many Prophets came here to Istanbul. Many companions came here; it is a key point, it is an important point. Our nation had gone through a long training with pain and hardship. Both women and men were tested through pain and hardship. Our people learnt to be grateful, loyal and loving in a powerful way. For instance look Allah gave an example. This love shown for our Master Erbakan is a summary of our people. For instance, on one side, there is a relatively young intellectual Professor Numan Kurtulmus. Some intellectuals are supporting him. Aydin Dogan is also supporting him. They said; "Erbakan is an old man, leave him be and do not show interest in him anymore. He shall die in his corner or live or do whatever he does. We shall look at our own business. The world is now a modern world. We should work through modern discourse.." -I am saying 'discourse' specifically with their turn of phrase- ".. we will get very nice results." This was how they thought. Look loyalty, compassion, warm feelings, gratefulness have greatly overcome and all of them embraced him [Mr. Necmettin Erbakan]. For instance, this was a demonstration of moral values; a display of superior morality. Right? It was a demonstration of love. This is us realizing that our people is ready for the job. Allah shows the people. Look this is a small example but it has a great meaning. For instance, our people is courageous; if it were any another country like in Europe and so, they would immediately talk about dividing the South-east [of Turkey] and say "Let us give it away". They do not strive. For instance, in England, in Spain or in any other country there is the policy of "Getting rid of it". Our people is courageous; they say "never".  

About Cyprus as well; they said "Give us Cyprus and we will bring you to life".  The state never accepted. Europe, America and everyone made a lot of pressure. They said "Cyprus is over". They said "What does it have to do with Turkey? Retrieve your soldiers and give us Cyprus. We will look after the Turks there. So there is no problem. The subject matter is done and over with." The state never accepted. The people never accepted. For instance, look also in the South-east; [the struggle is given] under very difficult conditions, it costs the state a lot. They are under great stress, there are great difficulties but they do not give up even a handful of land of the country. That is because the decency they've been brought up with requires this. The lecture of faith they received requires this. They never do that. That is really excellent.

For instance, let us say Aydin Dogan is supporting someone. People say "Beware, there is something to this". For instance, he does not support someone. People say "This one is certainly on the right way. He must be right". Look no special lesson was given for this. But people find it on their own with their conscience.  I mean a lesson for this might have been given but it was all in the narrow aspect. But the people find it on their own and this shows the eminence of our people. It shows the quality of their souls, insha'Allah.
