ALTUĞ BERKER:Our Master Mehmet Sevket Eygi has explained the necessity of Islamic Union very beautifully in his article published today. Saying "Unless the Muslims unite, they will keep groveling in a slave, servile and ignoble situation," he stated that the Ottoman Empire had brought Muslims from various races, languages and sub-identities together under its structure and gave freedom in religion, identity and culture to Christians and Jews.  After asking the question; "Whilst the European Union is accepted as normal, why the Union of Islam is regarded as abnormal?" He stated that it is a strict command of the Qur'an, the Sunnah and Islam for Muslims to live in unity and togetherness. He said; "Why do Muslims not have a Great Imam or an Amir of Muslims while the Catholics have their Pope? It is a religious obligation for every Muslim to pledge to and abide by the Imam or the Amir of his time. Would 1,5 billion Muslims be in this wretched position if the Islam Ummah had someone like Salaḥ ad-Din Yusuf ibn Ayyūbi as their leader? Today's captivity and contempt would not be removed without gathering under the leadership of Salah ad-Din." He had completed his article with the following words: "Even if the Muslims carry out 1000 commands of Islam but neglected the matter of unity and obedience to the true Imam; they cannot find salvation, prosperity and safety."

ADNAN OKTAR: He is telling the truth of course, Muslims should definitely have a leader.  That is a religious obligation. Islam will dominate the world but this will not be realized with blood and pus, not by making scenes, not by spilling blood but [Islam] will dominate through democracy, love, peace and reconciliation, insha'Allah. And the structure will be secular and it will be founded on laicism.
