ADNAN OKTAR: Now, we do have a profound affection, protectiveness and compassion towards the People of the Book -the Jews and the Christians- that passed down to us from the Ottomans, from the times of the Messenger of Allah (saas). They were very much protected and watched over in the times of the Messenger of Allah (saas) as well.  Both the Orthodox Christians and the Catholics were being protected with a profound compassion. Protecting them, showing them compassion and hospitality is the sunnah of our Prophet (saas) passed down to us. What happened to the claims about Turks being enemies to Armenians? What happened to the claims about Armenians being enemies to Turks?  Would an enemy go to a place where he will find his enemy? Would an enemy host his enemy in his house?  Right? For that reason they should leave those aside; saying that "both parties should count the bones" etc, there is no need to count the bones or anything. They all are our brothers and are very dear to us. What are we going to call them? What were we calling our Armenian brothers at the time of the Ottomans?

OKTAR BABUNA:The Loyal Nation.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, the Loyal Nation. They are the loyal nation; they can come as they like and perform their religious duties. We are going to go to their lands as well, we will open the borders. We will open the borders of Armenia. They are our sons, among the Turkish nation there are also Jews and Christians. They are Turks, purely Turk.. But all the people living in our region are Turks for us. I mean look, people are coming here from Armenia, hundred thousands are coming and working here. They are very peaceful, very joyful. If they perform their religious duties in the church, we would respect that, insha'Allah. That is because Allah tells us in the Qur'an that their places of worship; synagogues and churches are under protection. But some people say - actually that was why I just made joke to you- they say; "Armenians invaded Turkey," etc. Alright then; you are trying to build a mosque in the middle of New York, right? Are you invading America by that?

OKTAR BABUNA: No, of course no Master.

ADNAN OKTAR:Right?  We are building mosques in Germany, are we invading that land by that? They would not be invading when they perform their religious duties in our lands, right? All religions, all religious duties, all faiths should be respected. If you do not show respect to them, if they do not respect you, there will be dissension. That has no place in the Qur'an. There is mutual compassion and friendship in the Qur'an. And one would think that those opposing ones are the ones who do not come out of mosques. Those people are actually the ones who oppose the very idea of mosques anyway; that is not acceptable. They are entrusted to us by Allah. We would of course protect them and watch over them. But our hearts would want them to renounce the belief in trinity and say "La ilahe illa Allah" and accept our Prophet (saas) as the true prophet. But we would not act hostile just because they do not accept. They would always have our respect and compassion; showing respect to every idea, every thought, every belief is fundamental; compassion is fundamental.
