Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on TV Kayseri dated March 6th, 2011
ADNAN OKTAR: He [a viewer] has asked about the 245th verse of Surat al-Baqara;" Is there anyone who will make Allah a generous loan.." Now, there is the concept of people giving themselves to Allah, meaning they give their lives and properties to Allah. I seek refuge in Allah : " Say: My salat and my rites, my living and my dying, are for Allah alone, the Lord of all the worlds." The logic here is a continuance of this verse. For instance let us say that I have helped a person with 5 million liras. I would be giving this as a loan to Allah. Meaning Allah considers that as a loan and says; "I will pay this back." Allah pays that back with His Approval, I mean He pays it back with His Love and His Approval. That is what it means. And of course if Allah grants it; [the reward will be] the Paradise. By that Allah would be granting us the Paradise. But of course the Paradise cannot be our goal. That is because love is the name of an affection based on exalted feelings; on very exalted feelings. I mean an affection which requires a payoff cannot be named love; that is a a feeling that has a material payoff cannot be named love. Love is the name of a very pure, impeccable and unmixed feeling. It is the name of the noblest feeling. The noblest feeling of all is to love Allah for the good pleasure of Allah. Insha'Allah.
