Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on Kocaeli TV dated March 4th, 2011
ADNAN OKTAR: It is the command of Allah for Muslims to have a leader at their heads. Every community has a spiritual leader. That is not a political leader but there should be a leader of the hearts. There should be a leader of affection. When the Muslims do that [as they are commanded], this separation, this disunity, these sufferings [would end].. Look; Nicaragua comes for help, America comes for help; but the Muslims cannot come to help. Look, pay attention to that. No Muslim country could step up and say "let us help Libya", but Nicaragua says that. Or other countries say so.. Chavez says and many other people step up and say so.. Whereas before everyone else Muslims should step up; a Muslim country should step up. Right? A Muslim leader should step up. People without any relation are getting involved with the situation. What does this have to do with America? First of all it is apparent that a Christian cannot lead a Muslim. Muslims lead Muslims, and Christians lead Christians. That is because there would be conflict in their beliefs. It would cause grave difficulties.
And besides something that could be solved very easily by compassion and reason without the use of any force, is attempted to be solved through bloodshed. Why is there the need to shed blood once you use reason? For instance, in Libya; why should there be the need for blood or persecution? The way to reason is common. What is the most reasonable way? You sit down and talk and convince the related parties and attain results. They say; "no, let us not do it this way but let us make havoc of each other, let us beat the daylight out of each other and create a grave war. Only after that we can do as you say." My brother you will go round the circles and come to a certain point, right? You will come to certain point? While it is possible to do this without killing ten thousands of people, without breaking down their houses, without devastating people; why do you get into this outrageousness? That is quiet easy. For instance let us say that I will have food delivered from a restaurant, I would call in the man and ask for it and he would bring. And then there is beating the daylight out of the ones in the restaurant; dragging them on the floor, turning the place upside down and have them bring food like that. Which one of these is the beautiful one? The one done with courtesy is the good one. This is the reasonable one. These men try to do so by outrageousness. The system of the Mahdi is a system that would resolve this outrageousness; that would eliminate this ignominy; it is a system that would eliminate terror and sufferings.
