ADNAN OKTAR: The system of the Mahdi is correct, what I am telling you is correct. But there will be no turbulence, there will be no serious turbulences in the lives of people; there is no such system, let me tell you that. Many things people know to be beautiful, many things that are actually beautiful are derived from the Qur'an anyway. For instance laicism, meaning the freedom of religion, freedom of belief is again derived from the Qur'an. Look; "You have your religion and I have my religion"-I seek refuge with Allah from the satan- that is a verse [of the Qur'an] "There is no compulsion in religion." That is a verse [from the Qur'an].Allah addresses to the unbelievers; "You have your religion and I have my religion." Is this not democracy and laicism? You do not interfere, the man lives his own religion and you live your own. "There is no compulsion in religion."  You cannot use violence; you cannot spread religion by hanging men, cutting them; you cannot have them accept things, that is"There is no compulsion in religion." After this verse you cannot say "no, there is compulsion in religion". That is there explicit. Qur'an is the source of both democracy and laicism.  Consequently there will be no such understanding of Islam like some people from the bigot section say. Allah created the Qur'an in a form that it would appeal to people a lot, that it would address the souls of humans. The commands of the Qur'an are created in a way to appeal people. Allah would not create a command that would cause suffering for mankind. Allah created Islam so that they could live it with pleasure, insha'Allah.  If one doesn't believe, he does not believe. Allah mentions the unbelievers, He mentions the idolaters, what happened to those men then? That means there are people like that. What are we to do for them? We would pray for them, we treat them compassionately; Allah gives us the responsibility of protecting and watching them over. Allah says; "Then convey them [idolaters] to a place where they are safe."Do you know what ensuring their security of life mean? The police for instance get martyred while ensuring our security of life; the soldiers get martyred; just because they are protecting us right? Nothing happens to civilians but it happens to the police. In that verse, Almighty Allah says; "when you are conveying the idolaters to a place they are safe; do so at the cost of your lives, you give your lives but not let anything happen to those people's lives."That is what is seen; that is the meaning of "protecting".  Yes you go on..
