Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on Adiyaman Asu TV dated November 1st, 2010
ALTUĞ BERKER:In summary he said the following; "It is not possible to actualize the zero problem policy, because when you make up with one, you fall at odds with the other. Turkey is at odds with all her Western allies because of Iran. Turkey has chosen her side and that is not the West; this is the impression they have abroad. And this is not an advantageous situation for our country."
ADNAN OKTAR:Master Berker, what are you talking about?
ALTUĞ BERKER:Astagfirullah Master. There was an article by Semih Idiz in Milliyet daily, I have read that. He said ; "Can Turkey remain in the Western system?" Master. He mentioned Iran and said that Turkey is falling at odds with her Western allies because of these approaches. "Consequently this is not very advantageous", he said Master.
ADNAN OKTAR:His telling these has no significance. Turkey has a national policy. There is a belief system of the region Turkey is in. People live by that belief system. We have our own customs and traditions in Turkey, we have our religious belief, national targets. There are things that give us excitement, right? I mean we have an understanding of gardening, we have an understanding of discourse, we have an understanding of clothing, we have an understanding of addressing, we have an understanding of love and respect, we resemble one and other. In general the [countries in] Middle East resembles each other as well. For instance we hug each other, the Europeans do not know such a thing. We show affection by hugging each other. We ask after each other's health and wellness. We even have a different way of bringing coffee to each other; that is completely different from the others. For that reason these men are making evaluations according to their own minds; these have no significance. They do not know Turkey. Look they still keep insisting on saying "new Ottoman." I mean who have said anything about New Ottomans, where did you come up with that? Where did the word New Ottoman come from? They keep on bringing up the same thing and they do not know any other subject. They are brushing and bringing up the same subject. Look we have replied this for at least thirty times. Or they might still be in shock of the event. There is no such thing as New Ottoman. First of all they should get this concept out of their minds, there is the Turkish-Islamic Union.
ALTUĞ BERKER:Insha'Allah Master
ADNAN OKTAR:The Turkish states will unite; is there anything odd in that? There is none. The Islamic countries will unite, is there anything odd in that? There is none. Turks are uniting with the Islamic world because they are Muslims; is there anything odd in that, is there anything strange in that? There is none. What is there to object in this? A civilized, modern, secular, beautiful, perfect in social aspects, perfect in respect of art, perfect in respect of science, brand new civilization. These columnists, since they have to write on daily basis, they get bored. They look at each other to see what he wrote about? Something about Ottomans. He says this one wrote about something called New Ottomans. Let me write something similar to that as well, he says. The other one sees something else and says let me do something similar to that as well. Because their horizon is narrow, because they cannot find subjects to write, and they do not read much these people, they do not have much to do anyway. They go out at nights and have discourses at pubs etc. here and there, they feel sleepy at nights. They drink sodas, etc. feeling light-headed they go and sleep late until noon, until mid-afternoon. Then they feel bored and write a few articles. And when that is the case, they fail to see the truths. For that reason it is also important to closely follow what they have to say and underline how empty headed they are.
