Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on Kocaeli TV and Aba TV dated November 27th, 2010
ADNAN OKTAR: Mehtap Gunes says "Master, in this website there is an article against Islam, against religion." She says "let us take a precaution against it". Okay, we will deal with it insha'Allah.
There will always be attacks against Islam, religion, Prophets, against saints and against beloved servants of Allah. I mean they will be subjected to loathing slanders, abnormal accusations; this is the basic structure of religion. I mean it is an inseparable part of religion. Withinreligion, if there is a Muslim, he would definitely be subjected to slanders, he would definitely be plotted against. I mean there will be a struggle against him. That is to say there is a struggle in between the good and the bad ones of the world. If there are good ones there will definitely be satans against them and armies of devils, there will be bad people. If the satan does not do evil things it is not a satan anyway. I mean if evil ones do not do malice they are not evil anyway. In the world there is a struggle between the right and wrong; it started in the time of the Prophet Adam (pbuh) and will continue till the Day of Judgment. All the armies of the satan, all the armies of evils will give a struggle against Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) as well. This struggle would not be in the form of making calls like; "Mahdi , you are a bad person". They will slander, they will insult, they will say inconceivable words. Right? In the verse Allah says; ".. they flay you with sharp tongues", they will talk. I mean there is nothing to be surprised about this. That is, if there are statements made against a person that shows his perfection, his superiority. The higher the dosage of that is, the more perfect that person would be. The lower the dosage of that is, the weaker that person would be. I mean the lower the dosage of the slanders against a person is, against a striver, against a person who gives a struggle in the path of Allah is; we will see that his effect would be that weak. The higher his effect is, the reaction against him would be that high. For instance when a giant stone drops into the lake, the water in the lake would raise up, there would be an enormous movement. For instance if you dynamite the lake all the water will raise up. But if you drop a small stone it will make a very small wave. The intensity of the reaction reflects the intensity of the impact. I mean you have punched the man -meaning the unbelief- of course his face would be crumpled up. Of course his face would become ugly, of course he would get loathsome and aggressive. I mean he would become very ugly and his manners would also be atrocious. This is the requisite of being a Muslim. I mean in any other way we would think that person does not have such a power. For instance when our Prophet (saas) appeared, it was impossible to have no one opposing our Prophet (saas). That is to say they should definitely give a struggle against our Prophet (saas). This was the command of Allah. When the Prophet Moses (pbuh) appeared all sloppy ones, all unbelief revolted against him and made attacks with unbelievable slanders. That is a requisite. That is an inseparable part of being a Muslim. I mean just like ablution being necessary in performing prayers, just like you would perform your prayers after you take your ablution; a person living Islam would definitely get into a fiercest struggle with the unbelief and unbelief would definitely attack him. This requires insults, slanders and all sorts of unpleasant words. Other than this, there would be no testing in this world. If there is an intense attack against a Muslim, against a pious person, look at the intensity of that attack, you will see that the intensity of the attack would be proportional to the perfection of that person. The more intense the struggle is, the more perfect that person would be. For instance in the time of Bediuzzaman Said Nursi, there were attacks towards a lot of scholars and hodjas. We look at the dosage of the attacks towards the Bediuzzaman, we look at the proportioning; the attacks were focused ninety nine percent on Bediuzzaman, one percent on the other scholars. That shows the Mahdi of that period. I mean we understand the Mahdi of the century from the attacks of the unbelief. The Mahdi of the century is the person towards whom the attacks are made the most, the person on whom the attention is focused on the most. That means the Bediuzzaman, for instance if I were living in that period, I would look at the unbelief and see to whom they attack the most and make a comparison. The highest percentage is Bediuzzaman, I would say "that is correct, we found it," that person is the Mahdi of the century. The person who is attacked the least is the weakest person. I mean that is the law of Allah, that is the Sunnah of Allah. It is the unchangeable sunnah of Allah, insha'Allah.
