ADNAN OKTAR:When the compassion shown to Jew, the compassion shown to Christians is observed throughout the world, people would come to realize that Islam is a very warm and affectionate religion much better. It will be just like it was at the time of the Messenger of Allah (saas). Just like the Messenger of Allah (saas) taking off his frock and laying it down for the people of the Book to sit on it; just like Muslims immigrating to the land of Christians at times of difficulty, with the same spirit, we will insha'Allah implement the same things the Messenger of Allah(saas) did. And we will show that to the whole world. The idea of cutting off the Jews and Christians wherever they are found, to hang them, to crush them with intense hatred is not a thought compliant with the Qur'an. This is a system of persecution some fanatics have made up in order to be effective in some certain circles and to gather followers. We are obliged to behave according to the provisions of the Qur'an. Allah says openly in the Qur'an: "You will find the people most affectionate to those who have faith are those who say, 'We are Christians'," says Allah. The man takes this verse for nothing.. for nothing.  Allah tells us to "call the Christians to say La Ilahe Illa Allah." The man thinks nothing of this provision, of this verse either. There are a lot of rulings in the Qur'an about the Christians, I mean it is not only these verses. Furthermore there are a lot of practices as the actual sunnah of our Prophet (saas). When one thinks nothing of these facts, he would be contravening the Qur'an. If he does not accept these verses, he would be abandoning the religion anyway. Consequently we do not say that Christianity, Judaism are true religions. True religion is Islam. Everyone knows this. However people should know that Christians and Jews do need compassion and protection. Those people could be won over for Islam with good morality and love. People cannot be won over for Islam by aggression, by bad tempers, by insults, by hanging and cutting. Consequently in Islam there is no policy based on hatred. Almighty Allah tells us to address them with the kindest words. For instance while arguing with Christians Allah tells us to; "Only argue with the People of the Book in the kindest way."The man uses an abusive language and says "let us hang them kill them." Now is this arguing in the kindest way? The kindest way is the compassionate one, respectful one. And principle is to adopt a manner that tries to win over. We have to adopt a manner that tries to win over everyone.  That is the same for a Mason, for a Jew, for a Christian, for everyone no matter what. Moreover the Prophet Moses (pbuh) tried to win over even the Pharaoh. That is the Pharaoh, the dajjal (anti-messiah) of the age and he even tried to win him over.  The Prophet Abraham (pbuh) tried to win over even the Nimrod. He tried to get him on the right path. If religion could be preached to even the Pharaoh and Nimrod, why would not religion be preached to a Christian and a Jew? And why should they not be treated compassionately?

PRESENTER: But there is such a common thought; as far as I know there is a common belief that states even talking to Jews or being with them would be a sin. 

ADNAN OKTAR: Here it is; these are all spread by the bigot section, in fact there is no such thing. Men can marry women from the People of the Book. For instance, a Muslim man can marry a Christian woman or a Jewish woman. He calls her "my wife", "my darling", "my spouse". The children call her "Mother", "my dear mum", "my beloved mum". Right? The children do not call her "o you infidel!", they don't call her "you cursed!" And the man does not call the woman he married "you cursed woman!" What does he call her? He calls her; my darling, my love, my wife, my lawful one. For that reason to attempt to contort Islam, not acting in compliance with the Qur'an would be unlawful. In the Qur'an Allah says that we can also eat their meals. For instance the food of the People of the Book, of those Christians who say "La ilahe Illa Allah" and of Jews could be eaten. This is specifically been explained in the verse, in the Qur'an and Allah says that we can also marry them; Allah says that we can marry their women. That is a verse of the Qur'an.  And Allah says "only argue with the People of Book in the kindest way" and tells us to call them to "La Ilahe Illa Allah." Consequently there is no such aggressive and fierce manner in Islam. Some bigot people do that by being a cheap hero in order to collect appreciation from the ones around them, even though they do not believe in this and even though they know that to be cruel. That is because such types are known in some ignorant circles as brave Muslims who do not compromise from religion. When they see people hanging, cutting, assaulting, bombing, they say "that is a genuine Muslim, he does not compromise from Religion." Actually they are the ones who really compromise from religion; they are the ones who do not conform with the Qur'an.  Allah has explained us the manners complying with the Qur'an and we cannot find any other way beside this, we cannot find a new method for this. Consequently we have to be compassionate if we want the approval of Allah. Any other way would be evil it would be a manner complying with the system of the dajjal (anti-messiah), it would not befit Islam. That is because Allah does not tell us to directly make Christians Muslims in the first step, He tells us to call them to say "La ilahe Illa Allah".  Allah tells us to say "We have the same God, Allah." He tells us to say this. This is what Allah approves, that means Allah approves them saying "La Ilahe Illa Allah". That is because, by that those people would be showing friendship towards Allah, they would be showing their love. For Allah to be their friend, for Allah to love them back, they need to do as Allah tells them to do, that means to become Mohammedans and to abide by the Qur'an. But Allah does not take their saying "La Ilahe Illa Allah" for nothing. Allah sees it to be a beauty. If He were to see it as nothing Allah wouldn't have mentioned it in the Qur'an. That means that has a significance, that has a meaning, so that Allah says that because He approves that. For that reason a Muslim is to strive to have them say "la Ilahe Illa Allah"

ALTUĞ BERKER:  I am reading the related verse about this Master insha'Allah. I seek refuge in Allah from the satan. Surah Al'Imran Verse 64;

"Say, 'People of the Book! come to a proposition which is the same for us and you – that we should worship none but Allah and not associate any partners with Him and not take one another as lords besides Allah '."

ADNAN OKTAR:Look this is very clear. That means Almighty Allah tells us not to take priests, clergymen as lawmakers and do not take others as lords, He tells us not to see them as Allah. "Allah is the One making laws."Some ignorant Muslims see their sheikhs as law makers. They take them as a power above the Qur'an and they see their priests and clergymen as law makers. They see them as law makers on behalf of Allah. Allah says that this is wrong. Allah is the One making laws, insha'Allah.
