ADNAN OKTAR: Our sister Esra Sahin asks; "How should a Muslim woman be? What should she do? What do you think about the concept of honor that our society ascribed to us? What is the difference between an honest woman and a Muslim woman? Esra Sahin."

Honor is the whole religion. Religion as a whole is called honor. I mean, if a person does not want the unity of the Islamic world, if he does not want the Unity of Islam, he is outside the concept of honor. He says; "Islamic world should not be united." He says ; " There should be no unity no solidarity" -but that is valid only if he is a Muslim, I mean if he thinks that he abides by the Qur'an and the sunnah-  however if he is beyond the scope of that, if he has a unique, specific private faith of his own, that is a whole different matter. But religion is honor. Unless the religion is applied, unless the Unity of Islam is formed, honor cannot be lived.  The girls, the children in Afghanistan are being ravished. People are being destroyed in Iraq and all of them are being ravished, most of them are wretched. What is this? This is honor. 

ALTUG BERKER:Of course.

ADNAN OKTAR:There had been a flood disaster in Pakistan. Our brothers are groveling they are in a wretched situation. Not helping them with food and clothes would be an attitude unbecoming to the concept of honor. 

ALTUG BERKER:Of course.

ADNAN OKTAR: If we help them, if we support them, protect and watch over them; that would be honor. That is a debt of honor.  For instance homeland is honor. Protecting homeland, if you do not protect your homeland you would be contravening honor. Right? Protecting religion is honor. Protecting honesty, dignity, sincerity is honor. Honor is not a concept that is related with only the private parts of the human body. I mean that would be very weird.  I mean honor does not mean only to save and protect the private parts of the body alone. 

ARZU YANARDAG:But in general the majority looks for it there, we have been stuck in that. 

ADNAN OKTAR:That is wrong. I mean claiming that if one saves his/her private parts, if he/she protects that, he/she would be honest; that is not the case.  One should protect the whole of religion, protect the religion as a whole. If he/she is not concerned with this, if another's honor is not his/her concern what kind of an honor is this? There would be something wrong, something missing in that honor. Of course he/she is to protect his purity: that is an honor. But homeland is honor as well, so is nation.  Protecting the happiness and joy of people is honor. If you are just watching while people are groveling, what kind of an honor would that be?  While people are restless, while they are in pain, while young people are committing suicide, while they are at each other's throat, while the homeland is falling apart, there would be no such honor. There is a sickness in that, there is a defect.

How should a Muslim woman be? She should carry well intentions, she would be compassionate, honest, genuine, she should not tell lies, she should be peaceful, she should give peace to people around. She should love Allah very much, she should love the Prophet (saas) very much. She should be careful about the lawful and unlawful acts, she should abide by the Qur'an. She should be a teacher of love, she is to know what true love is, she is to know what true passion is, she is to live for Allah, she is to know that the true love is for Allah. She should be in love with Allah, she should love people, all the living things, plants and everything with her love for Allah. She should love the cats, wild animals, she should love everything with the love of Allah. She should live the happiness of that love; she should feel that joy on herself all the time.

A woman should be sophisticated, knowledgeable, civilized and well mannered.  She should know how to talk and what to say, she should know how to sit and how to behave, she should be very careful about her cleanliness, she should be decent. I mean each of these are separate trimmings. For instance women become very beautiful with a very little care.  She takes care of herself a little bit more and becomes even more beautiful. Every other detail makes a person more beautiful. One should pay attention to a lot of details. For instance if a person becomes beautiful with 20 details, she would become extra-ordinarily beautiful with a hundred details. She is to care for all hundred of all these hundred details. We have the time in this world, we have time. Insha'Allah.
