Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV and Kocaeli TV dated April 15th, 2011
ADNAN OKTAR:He says, "Is feeling grief and sorrow acceptable in Islam." No it is not. Grief -may Allah forbid- is rebellion towards destiny. It is rebellion towards what Allah had created and it has no other meaning. Grief, sorrow, suffering anguish, saying; " I am grieved, I am depressed because of my sorrow, I am sick in bed because of it," would mean "I am in an intense rebellion [May Allah forbid] towards Allah, towards destiny."
There is goodness in everything Allah had created. Allah creates everything with wisdom. Why would one be sad? If you have made a mistake, you feel repentance. And repentance is not something that makes you throw yourself to the floor. Repentance means intending and being determined not to do that act ever again. That is what repentance means. Why would you be saddened?
