That is because man is a weak creature, a weak being any other way; threats are very important, threatening with the Hell. Or else he would either be inconsistent or disloyal; or end up being coldhearted, being unhelpful; he ends up being egoistic and selfish. For that reason, threats, I mean giving people the fear of Allah, are very crucial. People say; "o, let us not make him fear like that". Then he would end up being sick, he would be affected in a very bad way. If one fears Allah he would be great. He would become more beautiful, his manners become more beautiful, he becomes full of love, he becomes understanding, he becomes loyal and compassionate. Any other way he would become spoilt. He says " I do love Allah very much" but he becomes extremely egoistical and very cruel. He might do incomprehensible impertinent behaviors. He should definitely fear Allah. Considering the fear of Allah as an abnormal thing and saying; "why is there the need to fear, let us love Allah, why should we fear Allah," would be a grave mistake. Once the fear of Allah goes, so would the whole quality, whole beauty of life. People fail to picture it in their minds. Before all else wisdom will be damaged. To be wise and clever there is a definite need for the fear of Allah. If a person does not feel fear of Allah, his judgment and reasoning would be impaired. Deranged way of talking, a deranged manner of speech develops. In order to be able to evaluate something and to comment on it, we can only keep to the point by constantly feeling the fear of Allah.
