Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on Kahramanmaras Aksu TV and Gaziantep Olay TV dated January 22nd, 2011
ADNAN OKTAR: "I appreciate your studies on raising people's awareness in respect of faith. May Allah be pleased with you," he says. And "I do like your way of addressing, I find them interesting," he says. For instance we call them [unbelievers] dogs, we liken them to pigs, etc. Actually these are similes made in the Qur'an, similes made by Allah. Allah says "His metaphor is that of a dog: if you chase it away, it lolls out its tongue and pants, and if you leave it alone, it lolls out its tongue and pants,"for the unbelievers. Our metaphors are correct as well. To say that they are like pigs; Allah says "We said to them; 'Be apes, despised, cast out'." Allah likens them to pigs anyway in the Qur'an. He says; "I do like that you talk with the manner of the Qur'an. It has a positive effect. You have the heart of a sufi." That is nice, but Muslims are responsible of using the manner of the Qur'an. And so we do use the manner of the Qur'an. Allah says "Such people are like cattle. No, they are even further astray!"Allah says that they are cursed and damned creatures. Allah greatly contemns the people who are in disbelief, in immorality, especially the hypocrites, in the Qur'an.. And we are just worshiping by complying with this judgment of the Qur'an, insha'Allah. But if it were up to our own minds, then that would not be religion. I mean, if a man said; "I do not like the manner of the Qur'an, I like my own style," then he would be abjuring the religion. He would be working up his own mind and that mindset would swallow him. Such a thing is not acceptable.
