Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV, Samsun AKS TV and TV Kayseri, dated May 18th 2011
ADNAN OKTAR:No limit could be put over love. One cannot say "let me love this much". We feel love with the highest possible love that could be felt. Love is an immense zest. It is a great blessing. So this friend of ours says; "Your follower who is unworthy, but who loves you deeply." Astagfirullah, Astagfirullah. How is that even possible? This is a very valuable, very esteemed sister of ours.
We feel love for the manifestations of Allah. We do not feel love independent from Allah. But if one attempts to love someone independently that would be ascribing partners to Allah. If one loves the other as the manifestation of Allah, then Allah would give that person the zest of love. Love has a beauty which strongly shakes the soul. You would then be taking that from love. But if you ascribe partners to Allah, your soul would be scorched. You would be dealing with the flesh and bones. It would be merely flesh and bones. Nothing would come out of flesh and bones. But otherwise, you would see the manifestation of Allah's Name Al-Jamal [Beautiful] and you would enjoy that beauty, that profound sweetness and profound relish of that love. Almighty Allah would let you enjoy that once you intend to love the manifestation of Allah. If one says; "no I will love according to my own mind" then you would notice that such people are not able to feel love, they do not know the feeling of love. This is the reason why people do not know the feeling of love. Allah does not give love to their hearts. They cannot enjoy love they cannot feel the taste of it. They try to feel a forced love and fail to do so. They imitate the feeling. They try to imitate that feeling in the movies, in theaters, in novels. Love cannot be lived through imitations. They can endeavor as much as they like, they cannot do that. Love is a light Allah bestowed on us; it is a special power, a special strength. For instance let us say, sugar has a sweet taste, if Allah does not give that person that sweet taste, he would not be feeling that sweetness no matter how much he eats sugar. This one says; "How nice this sugar tastes, it is like honey." Well, what is the taste you feel? You feel a bitter taste.. Why do you say it is like honey? Just for affectation. I mean just to seem like feeling love. In love, Allah bestows a unique taste to Muslims, one that is unique to them, to those who love others as the manifestations of Allah.
