Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on Kocaeli TV dated February 25th, 2011
ADNAN OKTAR: Atıf Alyurt says; "Master, could you please tell us about the Prophet Solomon (pbuh)? What was he like?" The Prophet Solomon (pbuh) was a very handsome, very beautiful prophet, and he was very intelligent. He was very sharp-witted. There is a part of the Torah called Proverbs; the large part of it is original. A very large part of it has not been corrupted, insha'Allah. He is a prophet who loves beauty, he is in love with beauty. He says ; "My Lord! The reason for my fondness towards these objects, these possessions You have created is Your Approval". Animals, there are all sorts of animals inside the palace; wild animals, birds, pheasants. He loves them all, he likes them a lot. He even likes ants. He is very compassionate, he is very careful not to tread on the ants. For instance, when he sees ants he does not step on them. This is a characteristic of the Prophet Solomon (pbuh). He is a person full of love. There are birds and horses that he keeps. Allah says; "And he set about stroking their shanks and necks." Note that Almighty Allah gives details. Allah shows us how love can be. I mean, He says; "I have given such a love to your soul." For instance, the shape of the neck encourages loving and stroking. Allah creates the neck, the feeling of stroking it and the pleasure one derives from doing so. Why would one stroke it, if Allah did not create that pleasure from it; what kind of pleasure could one take from it then? Look, Allah says "he stroked their legs" in one verse. Allah has created him in such a way as to derive pleasure from stroking their legs. It is part of human nature, a part of human soul. In the Qur'an, Allah emphasized that feeling related to stroking in human nature, in the soul. The Prophet Solomon (pbuh) says; " My Lord, forgive me and give me a kingdom the like of which will never be granted to anyone after me." He says 'do not give the beauties you have given me to the disbelief'. Allah bestows a wondrous beauty to him. The palace of the Prophet Solomon (pbuh), for instance is timber covered in gold leaf. There is gold everywhere, and a great many precious and semi-precious stones such as amethyst, agate and the like, tons of them. He used them very much. The whole palace was decorated like that. There were fabric decorations, too. Fine decorations made of linen, thick velvet curtains. He built a wondrous palace. He was a most tasteful and excellent person. Allah tells him through revelation what needs to be done, how to build his palace. He built a great and lovely palace complex. He turned the place into a masjid. All Muslims, and he himself, prayed five times a day. All Muslims used to perform prayers in those days. He had a huge kitchen built. The spread of roasting meat spread for miles every day, masha'Allah. There were roasting ovens all along the front of the masjid he had built. There was the delightful smell of roasting meat all day, insha'Allah. That was handed out to the poor and the needy. The meat was killed in a lawful way, in the name of Allah. The servants had special uniforms, all servants wore them, they were all very elegant. The Prophet Solomon (pbuh) was also very elegant and so were his servants and there was an immaculate cleanliness. Everywhere shone brightly. Almighty Allah says that djinns used to work at his command. Millions of djinn were at his command; not just one or two. If he wanted intelligence, to learn something, he would tell them to go and learn it. The djinn would go off and learn whatever it was and bring it back. There were also djinn who extracted pearls from oysters under the sea. They brought corals, pearls up from under the sea and brought it to the Prophet Solomon (pbuh). There was highly detailed activity going on. Cauldrons that could not be lifted up were made, He says. It was all adorned with great pools, towers and marvelous works of art and statues. The Prophet Solomon (pbuh) decorated his palace most wonderfully. He was grateful to Allah and constantly gave thanks to Him. My blessed forebear, may Allah give him strength, insha'Allah, masha'Allah, may Allah give him even greater delights in Paradise. He had 300 wives and another 700 concubines who gave themselves to him. He had a total of 1000 wives. Those mothers of ours wore spotless clothes and were bright and immaculate. The Prophet Solomon (pbuh) could not get enough of their beauty. They stood beside him in the palace, and he would look from one to the other, and constantly gave thanks to Allah. He would go and stroke his horses. He had birds and all kinds of animals, antelopes, deers and trees and flowers. He made it like paradise. The whole city of Holy Jerusalem had the lovely scent of flowers. That was how the Prophet Solomon (pbuh) was. Since his time would resemble to our time, our Prophet (saas) says "my descendant the Mahdi (pbuh) will resemble the Prophet Solomon(pbuh)". They will resemble one another in character, personality and that predisposition to wealth. That is because he will want that wealth for [the approval of] Allah. There will be a wondrous wealth. And our Prophet (saas) says that "He will also resemble the Prophet Dhu'lQarnayn (pbuh)." He will resemble to the Prophets Solomon (pbuh) and Dhu'lQarnayn (pbuh). And in the Qur'an the Prophets Solomon (pbuh) and Dhu'lQarnayn (pbuh) are described directly to refer to Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). That is because they have no one resembling them, only Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) insha'Allah. Those parts foremost refer to Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) insha'Allah. The description of the Prophet Solomon (pbuh) is a quite long in the Qur'an. I love all the prophets very much. And I love the Prophet Solomon (pbuh) very much. I am a huge admirer of the Prophet Solomon (pbuh), masha'Allah. But Our Prophet the Messenger of Allah (saas) is of course above them all. The Messenger of Allah (saas) is the greatest prophet there has ever been. But Almighty Allah gave our Prophet (saas) no such dominion in this world. His dominion is in the Hereafter, insha'Allah. And Almighty Allah gave him that glad tidings, enshrined in the Qur'an as well, insha'Allah. But Allah is bestowing dominion on his descendant, on his line, his child, his grandchild. It is much more comprehensive than that bestowed on the Prophet Solomon (pbuh). That is because Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will rule over the world of 7 billion people, insha'Allah. Consequently Almighty Allah bestows possessions on our Prophet (saas) by giving them to his descendant. What difference does it make? To him or to his descendant, it is the same thing.
