ADNAN OKTAR:Look I am stating this explicitly, we are living in the time of the system of the Mahdi. Hazrat Mahdi's (pbuh)coming is the truth, the formation of the Unity of Islam is the truth.  First of all anyone who asserts the Unity of Islam would definitely and compulsorily assert Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Let them tell me, how the Unity of Islam could be formed without Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) anyway. No one could claim the contrary. Unity of Islam would be impossible without Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), it is not possible. I mean no one from the Shia would unite around a Sunni imam, around a Sunni leader. No Sunni would ever accept a Shia leader.  Then that is the end of the discussion, it is certain that there will not be a union in the Islamic world like this. That could only happen with Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). That is because Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will supersede all religious sects; he is above all religious sects. But of course, they could have Mahdis of their own. For       instance at the moment there are hundreds of small Mahdis, hundreds of mujaddids (renovators). It's almost as if every group has its own mujaddid, his own Mahdi. That is not the case. Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) is the imam of the whole world, he is the imam of the Christians and Jews as well; he is the imam of everyone.  For that reason when that word is mentioned; when you hear about the Unity of Islam, know that it means that they are talking about Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). The ones claiming the second are not sincere. I mean they should explain it to me; they should say this can happen like this or like that, but they cannot. Hazrat Mahdi's (pbuh) coming is a must for that.
