Melih Asik of Milliyet daily conveyed his impressions about the Nawruz meeting BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) held in Mardin. In this public meeting, people opened banners with the slogan, 'We will demolish a world without Ocalan on you.' They carried large PKK (Kurdish Workers Party) and KCK (Union of Kurdish Communities) flags. In his speech Ahmet Türk said; "Ocalan's wishes are the wishes of the Kurdish people. Kurds demand democratic self-determination. Nothing can take a stand against the wishes of people. We will demand our freedom with a voice higher than of Egypt, Libya and Tunus. In response to it Melih Asik asks; "Is something like a demand for peace apparent in this picture?"

ADNAN OKTAR:Peace is the main feature of Turkey. Turkey will bring peace to the entire region, not only to itself. It is the sole country that will bring peace to the Middle East, Balkans and all the Islamic countries; it is the sole leader country. Kurds, Lazs, Zazas, they are all our brothers, they are all our souls. The entire Turkey must be free. We do not think in self-centered terms. Let everyone be free. Let democracy flourish everywhere. Let freedom flourish everywhere, right? That is, freedom is only for the Lazs, only for the Kurds, only for Turks. That is unacceptable. All citizens in Turkey; they are all Turks for us. And they all deserve the best living standards. We want them to live in the best environments, live in peace. We want democracy, arts and science to be practiced in the best form. It would be egoism to demand it only for a particular community; this would be unusual.
