ADNAN OKTAR:[I seek refuge with Allah from the satan] "And a group of them said," Allah gives examples of the different characteristics of hypocrites."People of Yathrib," that is the people of the big city, "Your position is untenable so return!" Meaning there is no place for you to stay. Location is very important for the hypocrite. Allah says "They even agree to a cave." They insistently go and stick there. They are after their comfort.. He shows this to them. He says "Your position is untenable so return" give up the struggle. "Some of them asked the Prophet to excuse them, saying, 'Our houses are exposed'.." Now hypocrites know the points where people's consciences are very sensitive about very well. For example, family, the concept of family, right? Nationalism, for example concept of family, nationalism but we see that hypocrites generally use the family concept very often. Look, what do they say? "Some of them asked the Prophet to excuse them, saying, 'Our houses are exposed' whenthey were not exposed; it was merely that they wanted to run away," says Allah."Our houses are exposed" so they say "I have children, spouse, grandfather, grandmother, aunts and sisters-in-law, this and that. And I am struggling to save them." So what is the condition of the Islamic world with a population of one and a half billion? What do you say about saving them? He says "That does not concern me."

You ask "Then why do you want to save your family?" He says "Money will come. How are we going to get the heritage? Who will cook the food and adjust the heat of the house or who will look after the house, who will bring that food?" He wants that house as it is a system, which will keep his animalistic body alive. If he is aiming to save other people, then he should want this for the whole Islamic world. Right? He needs to save the whole Islamic world. His house is a small piece in that. That is three or five people inside the one and a half billion Islamic world. But the Islamic world is made up of one and half billion people. Muslim is after saving the one and a half billion population. The hypocrite is after the segment who will leave him a heritage, bring money or care for him. In that period for example, look, our Prophet (saas) is after saving all Muslims. And he is after saving his small family; and the purpose there is not to save them. It is to gain interest from them. Because they hate them as well; there is no such thing. Look Allah says: "Some of them asked the Prophet to excuse them, saying, 'Our houses are exposed, when they were not exposed.."Allah says that they have no such purpose."It was merely that they wanted to run away." Allah says "They were using that as an excuse."

"If they had been overrun from every side, and had then been asked to revert to unbelief," if the unbelievers were attacking them from every side for example if there was a sudden night operation or another big incident and if Muslims were in a very difficult situation; and if they were asked to cause corruption for example to witness against them to get Muslims arrested or to do something, or to cause them pain, to set evidences to harm them or to slander them, "they would have done so and hesitated very little about it." Allah says "They would do it immediately." Because they are full of grudge and hatred, and they are ready for all sorts of immorality, Allah says;    "They would slander and defame as long as you get attacked." He says "They do not do it before that." They are afraid like dogs before. They watch from a distance like scabby dogs. They attack at the moment of impact. "Yet they had previously made a contract with Allah that they would never turn their backs." Right? They promised Allah that they will never turn away from this cause and that they would live Islam. Allah says; "Contracts made with Allah will be asked about."

Allah explains what will happen to them. "Say: 'Flight will not benefit you if you try to run away from death or being killed." This shows that hypocrites are very scared of death. They have a constant fear of sickness and of death. They have the tendency to live long and they fear death very much. This is one of the most important reasons that hypocrites run away. They are after saving their ugly lives."Say: 'Flight will not benefit you if you try to run away from death or being killed." Allah says "I will find you everywhere. It is no use that you run away." "Then you will only enjoy a short respite.'" He says "I will take your lives in a short while." The hypocrites die with the effect of that pain because they are psychologically in pain. Allah says "Die with your hatred." Hypocrites live in a great psychological stress. Allah says; "He makes his breast narrow and constricted as if he were climbing up into the sky." They are not happy even for a single moment. They are in constant distress and tension. Hypocrites are very tense in environments where there are hypocrites. They all hate one another. They both loathe and hate one another and see each other as low people. And they all see each other as unreasonable and stupid.

Every hypocrite sees the other as unreasonable and stupid. Every hypocrite sees himself individually as the most intelligent of them all. For example, if there are one hundred hypocrites, one hundred of them think that they are superior. Hypocrites have such an abnormality.

"Allah knows the obstructers among you" for example some of hypocrites secluded their children into their homes and some kidnap their children and do not let them leave. Some use violence and some threatens and hold them under the threat of death. The Qur'an makes a sign to that. "And those who say to their brothers, 'Come to us,'.." Some send notes from the outside and say "Come to us." Because they hypocrite wants to grow stronger, he will take something from newcomers. He will gain something through them. He will feel himself stronger and also thinks that he will thus harm Muslims. Thinking like "one more left Muslims and we have gained one," he assumes that it is useful for him. "And those who say to their brothers, 'Come to us,'" So hypocrites will constantly use this. They will call people to themselves. This is a hypocrite character. For example this is not so with the unbelievers. Unbelievers live their own lives and they do not say "Come to us." But hypocrites are after saying "Come to us." This is very important for them. That is because he wants to make himself equal. In order to get rid of that psychological pain, he wants to increase the number of people like himself.
