ALTUĞ BERKER: You have said the following Master; "Praying is very important. It is very important to pray for Muslims. It gives contentment and relief. Allah has drawn great attention to praying in the Qur'an. People do not cling to praying that much because they assume that they cannot attain some things through praying. In fact prayers are without fail accepted. Almighty Allah certainly accepts them as a form of religious service."

ADNAN OKTAR: My brother, praying is a shield against ascribing partners to Allah. For instance, let us assume that a person is about to do a piece of work, he believes that work is going to go within that system. For instance let us assume that he has a lawsuit or a piece of work or a business or a piece of work about school..  He assumes that he will be the one to do that. May Allah forbid, in that case troubles start coming successively, he becomes very unhappy and he fails to understand.. Just when he is about to enter an exam, he misses the exam; he gives an answer to a wrong question.. Or for instance, while he is about to pay for a cheque he goes and gives the money to a wrong account. Allah would pull the ground from under his feet, may Allah forbid. One should certainly start working by praying to Allah. One should say; "My Lord, may You deem this auspicious for me, may You open my way on this matter, may You help me."I mean one should say "My Lord You will be the One doing those." Any other way would be ascribing partners to Allah. If one claims that he is the one doing all those that would offend Allah. I mean that is not acceptable. He should definitely submit to Allah. In that case there will be goodness in those things that seem to be troubles. For instance, something does not happen, let us say he is late for something, he missed the bus; there is definitely goodness in that. That works for the best, it is good that it happened like that. But if he forgets these facts and starts doing things, what would he think in that case? He assumes that these are troubles and gets sad. Once he gets sad this would be ascribing partners to Allah. But if he starts the other way, that would both be a religious service and he would then see the goodness in things and would realize that actually his dealings are going well. I mean, his missing the bus would show that his dealings are actually going well, it means that things are going well, it means the right things are happening, that Allah had thus saved him from an accident, from a flaw or a mistake and that it is a good thing that it happened like that.
