ALTUĞ BERKER: I will be reading a prayer of our Prophet (pbuh), insha'Allah. "My Lord! Let me live as long as You consider it to be auspicious for me with Your Knowledge of the Unseen and Your might over the people. And when you see death to be auspicious for me, take my life. My Lord! I ask for Your awe in secret and out in the open." That means an increase in his fear of Allah, Insha'Allah. "Be it in a state of deserving Your approval or Your displeasure, I ask for not swerving from the path of pure devotion to You. I ask for not swerving from decency both in indigence and in wealth. I ask from You infinite blessings, an unending relief of the eye. I ask from You to make me comply with my destiny and the freshness of the life after death. I ask from You the pleasure of looking at Your Face, and the zeal of attaining You. I ask You to grant me all these in a state purified from the harms of the evil and a fitnah that swerves one from the right path. My Lord! Adorn us with the ornaments of faith and make us guides to the truth who remain on the right path. (al-Jamiu al-Saghir)"

ADNAN OKTAR:For instance notice the expression, "relief of eye".. That expression of of our Prophet (saas), is a very striking expression. Because when we say; "relief of eye" it means feeling a freshness from everything you look at, feeling peace and ease from them. It is a very nice feeling when all those you look at do not give any kind of trouble for eye and spirit and when everything you look at opens your heart. It is a perfect expression of our Prophet (saas) and a very candid prayer. We must examine every prayer of our Prophet (saas) and understand his character very well. I mean, an in-depth analysis is essential. For instance our Prophet (saas) talks about freshness of the life after death. This is very important. After death, people want to feel at ease. They must not feel any restlessness both at the moment of death, and during the phases after that, until the moment one enters the Heaven. Almighty Allah has given many guarantees about it. Allah says that they will have no hardship whatsoever. He says, "You will not feel sorry or have any fear." Indeed, Allah provides many details and says, "They will not be wronged by so much as the smallest speck." The account given in the verse is very beautiful. But our Prophet's (saas) asking for "relief of eye" and "freshness of the life after death".. those are splendid expressions. Relief at every stage.. Dying in ease, going together with Azrael (as) and other angels in comfort and coolness.. Because although Almighty Allah explains all those stages extending to the entrance to the Heaven, people may still feel a kind of unease. For that reason Allah gives extensive guarantees on this matter so that they can be at ease. But once they enter the Heaven, they are saluted with "Salam". There is a relief there as "Salam" means "Enter in security." Once they enter the Heaven they are already locked on eternity. That is, death is killed from that on. Death is killed for all eternity. It is locked up and our Prophet (pbuh) explains this beauty with a very beautiful expression, a demand for freshness. For this reason let's analyze our Prophet's (pbuh) prayers statement by statement. We will see that they harbor many secrets. For instance he says; "Fill my veins with light." In a vein that is filled with light there exists no illness, embolism or cholesterol. He says, "Fill my flesh with light." In a flesh filled with light there exists no tumor or cancer. These are very fine expressions masha'Allah.
