Date

The modern medicine considers date as the “miracle fruit”. It contains almost all of the elements, minerals and vitamins required by the human body. It is especially rich in iron, magnesium, living metallic salts, A, D, B and C vitamins. A research reveals that date has antiseptic qualities; it also increases breast milk and provides great contribution to the growth of children with the potassium in it.

Date, that has been consumed in the Middle East and Northern African countries for 5 thousands years is a fruit that is eaten at all meals. Color and size of dates vary according to the regions they grow. A thin and white sugar layer on dates reveal the sugar content of this fruit.

Date, which is originally known as a fruit, is also a material with fibers used in fabric production and seeds used as fuel. Allah draws our attention to these fibers in a verse of the Qur’an:

On the Day We summon every people with their records, those who are given their Book in their right hand will read their Book and they will not be wronged by even the smallest speck. (Surat al-Isra, 71)

Consequently, we witness Allah’s superior creation in many things that we see as natural parts of our lives. Conscious people who think with a sincere mind and conscience can recognize countless blessings of Allah. Such thinking is instrumental in making them grateful and thus draw them closer to Allah. (Harun Yahya, the Art of Color of Allah)

The blessings Allah created for us are too much to count. In the face of all this kindness of Allah what befalls us is to praise Him .

Allah shows favour to mankind but most of them are not thankful. (Surat an-Naml, 73)
