MAVİ KARADENİZ INTERVIEW (10 February 2009)
ADNAN OKTAR:… In verse 145 of Surat an-Nisa, Almighty Allah says “The hypocrites are in the lowest level of the Fire. You will not find anyone to help them.” In verse 138 of Surat an-Nisa Almighty Allah says, “Give news to the hypocrites that they will have a painful punishment.”See how they are given news? He says this to humiliate the hypocrites. “Those who break Allah’s contract after it has been agreed,” He says. They say they will help, that they are Muslims, devoted to Allah and the Qur’an, and stand alongside believers, but Allah says they have broken the contract. They abandon things that Allah has commanded. They sever the bonds of brotherhood, for example, and abandon good deeds. “And they bring forth corruption.” They move around and report on Muslims and spread strife and corruption. “They are the losers.” They did many such things in the time of our Prophet (saas). In verse 27 of Surat al-Baqara Allah says, “Those who break Allah’s contract after it has been agreed.”“You will see that most of them establish friendships with those who stray into denial.” They feel hatred for Muslims. One characteristic of hypocrites is that they live among Muslims but have close ties to the irreligious people and atheists and tell tales to them about Muslims. They rejoiced to be far away from the Prophet (saas). They regarded it as unpleasant to strive on the path of Allah and said why bother in all this heat? In Surat at-Tawba, Allah says, “They said, ‘do not go out to fight in the heat.’ Say: ‘The Fire of Hell is much hotter, if they only understood.” “They will swear in the name of Allah that they are one of you.” They will claim to be believers when they speak with Muslims, and will swear that this is so, Allah says. “But they are not of you. They are a cowardly community.” They are full of fear and tension because their souls are filled with the filth of satan. In verses 56-57 of Surat at-Tawba, Almighty Allah says: “As for those who make Allah their friend, and His Messenger and those who believe: it is the party of Allah who are victorious! You who believe! Do not take as friends any of those given the Book before you or the unbelievers who make a mockery and a game out of your religion. Fear Allah if you are believers.”
Allah compares them to donkeys in terms of their stubbornness and stupidity. He says they have fled from a lion, [that is arslan in Turkish]. As you know, one of the names of Hazrat Mahdi (as) is Arslan. In verse 29 of Surah Muhammad Allah says, “Or did those with sickness in their hearts imagine that Allah would not expose their malevolence?”Allah says that they contribute nothing but evil and damage and will always incite corruption. He says it is better for Muslims not to be with them. He describes them as filth and says that if they remain they will bring Muslims nothing but evil and damage. He says they will try to set Muslims against one another, and that there are spies and informers among them. In verse 47 of Surat at-Tawba He says, “If they had gone out among you, they would have added nothing to you but confusion. They would have scurried about amongst you seeking to cause conflict between you, and among you there are some who would have listened to them. Allah knows the wrongdoers.”
Allah says there are some people who claim to believe in Him and the Day of Reckoning, but who do not in fact believe at all. That is a characteristic of hypocrites. They imagine they are deceiving Allah and believers, whereas they are actually just deceiving themselves, though they are unaware of this. He says there is a sickness in their hearts. But there is a severe punishment awaiting them because of their lies. Allah says that hypocritical men and women are one another’s friends.
… They command evil and forbid goodness.” For example, they do not want Islam to spread, but they seek the spread of immorality, evil and oppression. “Their hands are very tight,” meaning that they are very parsimonious and that they spend their lives that way.
