Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's live interview on Gaziantep Olay TV, January 23rd, 2010
OKTAR BABUNA:Today there was snow everywhere. Could we show the golden ratio in the snowflakes?
ADNAN OKTAR: Let's show it.
OKTAR BABUNA: The golden ratio is a number found by a mathematician called Fibonacci in the Middle Ages. According to this, when we take the ratio of the sum of two numbers to the numbers before the adding, we find a ratio of 1,618. For example, when we begin with 0, the sum of 0 and 1 is 1, 1 and 1 is 2, 2 and 1; when added to the previous number it is 3, it goes like this. This ratio is fixed after the 13th number. It gives the 1,618. Allah made very symmetrical creations in the living being in nature by using this ratio. For example, snowflakes are created with golden ratio and they also have perfect symmetry. But, snowflakes have one more characteristic; no snowflake looks like the other. Look, there is a marvelous pattern in each and every one of them and completely different, trillions and quadrillions of them are different like this; all the snowflakes of the future and the past. These are of course microscopic pictures, when looked through the microscope.
ADNAN OKTAR: This is a manifestation of the infinite power of creation of Allah, right?
OKTAR BABUNA: Yes masha’Allah, none of them look like the other.
ADNAN OKTAR: Masha’Allah.
OKTAR BABUNA: I mean all the snowflakes dropping down outside have this feature. Of course, this golden ration is seen in other living beings, in human face, in the flowers, in pine cones, in everything in the nature, there is such a creation by Allah. All symmetric and with a golden ratio, Masha'Allah.
