Excerpt from Adnan Oktar's Live Interview at Güneydoğu Olay TV on May 11st, 2010
PRESENTER 2:"Dear master, As-Salamun Alaykum."
ADNAN OKTAR:As-Salamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.
PRESENTER 2:"Sometimes, due to our being accustomed to it, we say; 'I shall take some medicine to be well'. We don't have the thought of ascribing partners to Allah – May Allah forbid- at that moment, but we may be making a mistake inadvertently. Is this hidden polytheism? We love you very much. Derya."
ADNAN OKTAR:It may be true what Ms. Derya says, but of course we will get ourselves together. One may be taken unawares, may forget. I mean, it would not be right to turn it into a whispering (false suggestion) and a matter of pain. One should mean this in advance. One is to say, "My Lord, You are the Owner of everything. You are the One Who has power over everything. We are helpless servants. You create everything and we are subject to You." But for example a person can forget for a single moment, as he may be taken unawares. But he must take it together afterwards. His prior intention would be sufficient by Allah's leave. But it should not be forgotten of course. "Now I took a pill so my headache will go away." No it won't. It may not. And even if it did, the person will know that it is Allah Who creates it. Otherwise it would be polytheism. This is valid for everything.
